SMM, November 11: According to market sources, Daye Nonferrous Metals recently publicly sold approximately 25 mt of crude selenium with a metal content of about 91%. The transaction was successfully concluded at a price higher than 140 yuan/kg, with the buyer reportedly being a major manufacturer in Yunnan. Market participants indicated that, as the transaction price for crude selenium had recently stabilized around 135 yuan/kg, this sudden rise in the transaction price for Daye's crude selenium above 140 yuan/kg may, to some extent, signal the resumption of an upward trend in the market prices for crude selenium and even the entire selenium product sector.
